You want to have your child baptized? This is a wonderful gift for your
child, salvation in Jesus Christ and membership in His Church. This is also an
important decision on your part because as the parents, you are the first
teachers of your child in the practice of the faith. This is why before you make
the final decision, you yourselves will need to be active in your Christian
faith and participating members of this Catholic community. We must teach what
we believe, practice what we teach.
Is administered the fourth Sunday of the
month. Please call the Parish Office (863) 385-0049 three months prior to
Baptism for an interview to fill out the baptismal form. Parents and godparents
must attend a Baptism preparation class.
BAPTISM INSTRUCTION CLASSES
will be given by Deacon Jim McGarry. Deacon Jim will make an appointment
to baptize your child when you attend his class. Please call the
Parish Office at 385-0049 to schedule a Baptism.

Baptismal Prayer
We give you
thanks, O God, for the holy sacraments of your church by which You visit
us and redeem us and make us better than we really are. May this time of
prayer remind us of our own baptisms, and of our sacred relationship with
You, initiated and maintained by Your love. Secure and strengthen us in
the sure and certain knowledge we are always Your beloved children, marked
with the seal of Your Holy Spirit. For this and all Your many blessings,
we are grateful, O God. Amen. |
